# Pet Air Lift

> Pet Air Lift connects compassionate air travelers with newly adopted Mexican rescue dogs and cats headed to the same destination in the United States or Canada. Volunteers escort pets in-cabin or below-cabin on flights they were already taking, turning ordinary trips into life-saving journeys.

Pet Air Lift is a volunteer flight-escort coordination platform (not a transport service). All flights originate from San José del Cabo (SJD) in Baja California Sur, Mexico, with destinations limited to the U.S. and Canada. Rescue organizations list adopted pets that need a travel companion; travelers post their flight itineraries; the platform matches them and coordinates the handoff.
