Pet Air Lift was founded by pet rescue activist, John Villegas, and was borne out of a need to transport rescued and rehabilitated dogs and cats from Baja Sur to their new furever homes in the Pacific Northwest and Western Canada.
I match these adopted rescues with Baja travelers who are on their return trip to the USA and Canada.
In 2016, Kathy Logan, a USA Certified Veterinary Technician, reached out to John Villegas, the creative juices started flowing and we expanded to introducing microchips through our chip clinics throughout Baja Sur and donating specially fitted pet oxygen masks to the fire departments in Cabo San Lucas, San José del Cabo and Baja Dogs La Paz.
Kathy is PetAirLift’s CLO “Chief Logistics Officer” searching high and low in the Pacific Northwest for used crates, wire pens, collars, and leashes.
Early on we recognized the shortage of quality dog crates in Baja Sur that we needed to transport our rescues on commercial airlines.
Kathy led the charge and started acquiring crates in and around Portland, Oregon.
As of May 29 2022, Kathy has collected and delivered over 4oo hard crates, 200 soft carriers, 200 microchips, countless pee pads, toys, and medical supplies.
